CRA New Teacher Lovers of Literacy Award
We are excited to announce CRA’s inaugural Lovers of Literacy Award for two exceptional new educators. This prestigious award recognizes passionate new teachers who demonstrate outstanding dedication to advancing literacy in their classrooms and beyond. Nominees should exemplify a commitment to creating a vibrant reading culture where students are actively engaged in meaningful and thoughtful acts of reading. These educators bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a deep love for literacy, sparking a love for reading in their students while fostering strong connections with families to support literacy at home. Their passion for literacy extends beyond the classroom, as they strive to make a lasting impact on their students’ literacy journeys and cultivate a lifelong love of learning.
Each award winner will receive a monetary prize of $250 to further their efforts in enhancing their students’ literacy experiences.
*A new teacher is defined as completing no more than 1-2 years of teaching and having taught in the public and/or private sector.
Nominations are due by Friday, November 1, 2024!
