The Four Dimensions (Civics, Economics, Geography, and History) center on the use of questions to spark curiosity, guide instruction, deepen investigations, acquire rigorous content, and apply knowledge and ideas in real-world settings to become active and engaged citizens. In this session presented by Lynnette Brent, we’ll investigate resources that encourage deeper thinking about social studies. We’ll also explore how to build background, increase academic vocabulary, and teach strategies needed to navigate complex social studies texts as students engage in the inquiry process.
